Campaign rules
Please review the following rules for campaigns, so that you’re aware of what you can – and cannot – do when working with campaigns.
- You can only have one Target per Ad Group.
- You can have up to 20 Creatives for each Ad Group.
- You can select as many Publishers per Target as you want. (However, it’s recommended that you select one Publisher per Target (Ad Group) or per Campaign.)
- You can select as many geo locations per Target as you’d like. (However, if you want to set up different targeting criteria for each location or if you want to see granular insights on each geo location performance, it’s recommended to select only one location per Target (Ad Group).)
- You can select the time range you want to run the ads.
Create an Ad Campaign
You can create a Umo Rewards mobile app advertising campaign to reach millions of daily commuters by logging in to the Umo Rewards Ad Portal and going to Campaign > New Campaign.
When you create an ad campaign, you must click Save & Add Ad Group to add an ad group for it to continue with your campaign setup. You can opt to click Save to save your campaign to work on the campaign settings later, but clicking Save only will not let you take the next steps to build your campaign.
Note: All fields and steps are *Required unless noted otherwise.
Create a new Mobile App advertising campaign
- Log in to the Umo Rewards Ad Portal.
- In the Umo Rewards Ad Portal menu, click Campaign.
- On the Campaign page, click New Campaign.
- In the Add Campaign window’s Name field, enter a name for your campaign.
You may indicate campaign type and ad type in the campaign name for easy tracking. For example, if your campaign runs display image ads for chocolate brand X for Superbowl event, then you may name your campaign as Superbowl Chocolate X Display Image Ad 2020.
- From the Campaign Type drop-down menu, select the campaign type (Example: Direct Buy, Programmatic).
- (Optional) In the Description field, write a brief description of your campaign.
- From the IAB categories drop-down menu, select the categories that apply to your campaign. This is important for both programmatic and direct buy. For programmatic, it will be one of the criteria for the ad networks to accept your ad requests for bidding, especially if you have not setup your categories on the publisher level. For direct buy, it will be one of the key criteria to accept or reject your ad campaigns based on Umo product category review guidelines.
- From here, you can select one of the following:
- Save – to save your campaign as-is.
- Save & Add Ad Group – to add an ad group name, time, etc.
If you select Save & Add Ad Group, the Add Ad Group screen appears, and you can enter details by following the details in the following Create an Ad Group, Target, and Creative Help topic.
