Do Stars expire?
Riders must remain active in the Umo Rewards Star Loyalty Program to retain Stars they earn. If their Umo Rewards account is inactive for twelve (12) consecutive months, they forfeit all earned Stars. Once Stars are forfeited, they cannot be reinstated. However, in that case, they can earn new Stars, unless their account has been deactivated.
Can riders transfer Stars?
No. Stars cannot be transferred from one Star account to another Star account.
How long does it take for riders to see their Stars reward credited to their account?
In general Stars will be automatically credited to riders' accounts within 24 hours. However, for Stars rewarded from card-linked offers, it may take up to 1–5 business days to be credited to their accounts.
Can riders get a refund for their redeemed Stars?
No, they cannot. Once they redeem their Stars, riders cannot return the redeemed value and cannot get a refund for the redeemed Stars, whether they have used the redeemed value or not.
How do riders link their payment cards to earn Stars?
Riders can earn Umo Rewards Stars when they spend by linking their debit or credit card to their Umo Rewards account by going to Wallet > Rewards > Earn when you spend > Link a credit card.
Riders can link more than one card to their Umo Rewards account.
What type of payment card can riders link to earn Stars?
Riders may use either a debit card or a credit card to link to the Umo Rewards card link offer program. However, if the rider's linked card is a debit card, they need to make sure to select Credit Card as a payment method for their online shopping or in-store purchases with participating merchants.
Money gift cards in a form of a currency are not accepted.
Is there a limit to the number of cards that riders can link?
No. Riders can link as many cards as they want.
Do riders need to show the card link offer when they go shopping online or at the participating store?
No. If a rider uses their linked debit card or credit card at the participating merchant store, they will be automatically rewarded with Stars. The number of stars depends on the amount of the purchase they make at the store.
Will riders receive cash back for their purchases?
No. Riders will not receive cash back for their purchases. Instead, “cash rewards” will automatically be converted into Stars.
What can riders do when Umo Rewards is no longer available in their metro area?
If transit agencies decide to disable Umo Rewards in your metro area on Umo App by a certain date, riders will have 30 days since receipt of the termination notification to redeem Stars for transit value from the transit agencies within that metro area.
However, the riders’ Umo Rewards loyalty account remains active and will not lose any Stars due to the termination of Umo Rewards on your metro area. Riders may still earn Stars with their qualified card-linked purchases and redeem Stars with other participating transit agencies from other metro areas by switching their metro area setting to the desired metro area on the app.
